oh how I despise the sellers who ramp up the cost of eBooks - I would happily buy a book for $5, specially as an eBook does not have the 'overheads' of a printed book. But MacMilland vs Amazon just proves that publishers are happy to cut off their customers to spite their authors. (God that's a good line!)
So - grab fanfiction from the web (content is free) and convert it to an eBook yourself, visit Project Gutenberg for out of copyright books and try out the 'I just want my book out there' freebies at ManyBooks. Go get em folks and crush the totalitarian publishers!
